Business School
As part of the induction process for the
International Masters programmes, 150 students gathered at the Nightingale
Centre in Derbyshire to spend some time getting to know each other,
explore cultural differences and how they would work together for the rest
of the year long course. This was organised and facilitated by Derwent
Outdoor Pursuits and despite some awful weather, there were a lot of
smiling faces and some great learning.

Bradford
& Bingley Group
A project team from BBG
and two collaborating companies came together for a day of activities,
getting to know each other better and exploring the team dynamics and ways
of improving their cross team collaboration. They also considered their
preferred team roles and how that impacts the project. The day's exertions
were followed by a relaxed and delicious dinner at the Priests House
restaurant in Wharfedale.

Business
Alliance
The Business
Alliance is a dynamic Yorkshire based group of owner managed, small to
medium sized, family businesses who share a common aim – to improve
themselves and their businesses. They
meet ten times a year for a complete day away from normal routines, which
allows them essential creative time to “think outside the box”.
This year, they
attempted the "White Bear Trail", a one day event,
designed to test their initiative and teamwork. Developed from an original
idea of one of the members, they worked in teams to compete in a series of
challenges, solving problems, searching for hidden clues in churches and
crypts, deciphering fiendish codes, before coming together and
collaborating to cross a river, followed by a sumptuous dinner at the White Bear Hotel
in Masham. |
