The best book I've read on Leadership
recently is "Captain Scott" by Ranulph Fiennes - a sensitive and insightful
portrayal of a recently much maligned hero, also a great adventure story!
Next best and more down to earth
and practical for most people in organisations would have to be "Next To Me"
by David Jones, a fascinating tale of retail success, intertwined with
personal triumph over human adversity.
For
some fascinating insights into political intrigue,
influencing people and upholding ethics and values, all with the
historical background of ancient Rome, is "Imperium" by Robert
Harris.
"Leading
Strategic Change - Breaking Through the Brain Barrier". More
readable than many books on change and does look at some different
aspects, concentrating on and proposing some very practical people
strategies. By Stewart Black and Hal Gregersen.
